heyah all! :)
I feel way better today than I felt in a long time. My neck is actually getting better and training yesterday just motivated me again. It’s great what the gym can do with you. Not only physically but mentally. I am so thankfull that I can workout and go to the gym.
Tonight we’re going to an MXPX show. CAN’T WAIT! I love this band so much! <3
Before that I have to go to school for 4 hours and hit the gym to do legs. :)
Familiy stuff is still dragging me down, well not actually family, but someone is trying to betray my granny and sue her. But in fact he is wrong, but it seem we can’t really proof anything. That’s freaking me out, because it’s just not fair. WAH! I hope training can keep my mind off that.
For lunch I made oatmeal to eat it in school! ;) Other planned meals: protein shake after working out, when at home: greek yogurt with banana, honey, cinnamon. For dinner: we’re going out to eat, so I hope for lean beef and veggies.
Hope your day is going well, cya later!

Greek yogurt with cinnamon and banana! Had it a few days ago and will have it tomorrow for breakfast! Yuuuum!!!!!

what I ate today
breakfast: 5 egg whites
lunch: oatmeal
dinner: shrimp with mushrooms and onions, naan bread
snack: grapes and cereals and milk
Should have been more, but today killed me, kind of. I am surprised I ate so much because I was in such a bad mood that I didn’t want to eat at all.
Tomorrow I have an exam for which I couldn’t really study, because I am so upset with something going on in my family and I was so distracted. BUT after school I’ll head to the gym, I guess I will fell way better afterwards. I didn’t go to the gym today after all because of my back. I really hope everything will be ok again soon, because right now I feel like a depressed piece of crap and that is not really me. I am usually fun and totally motivated and doing everything to reach my goals, but now all comes kind of crashing down. I feel so weak, and I hate that. WHERE AM I??? grrr

Fit people’s food beliefs
I read a book called “The Body fat Solution” by Tom Venuto this weekend. Here is a passage that I found interesting: it deals with our beliefs about food and how they affect our behavior and decisions. (The photo on the left has nothing to do with the book, I just placed it here because I think it’s cute :)“When it comes to food, I’ve discovered that fit, lean, and healthy people have a unique set of beliefs about food and a distinct set of metaphors they use to describe food and what food is for. The ones I’ve heard most often include:
- Food is fuel.
- Food is the best medicine.
- Food is construction material for the body.
- Food stokes the fire of metabolism.
- Fruit is nature’s candy.
- Lean protein is the lean muscle builder.
- High-fiber foods are nature’s Roto-Rooter.
I’ve never met anyone who talked about food with this type of language exclusively, who had a challenge with inappropriate eating or excess body fat. Think about that. When you look at it this way, food is no longer the problem, food is the solution and you become driven to eat the right foods rather than avoid food.”

“It may seem counterintuitive, but eating more fat can help you shed bodyfat. Researchers found that when subjects boosted their fat intake to about 50 percent of their daily calorie intake while reducing carbs to around 30 percent, they burned more fat during workouts than when on their normal diets. Apparently, eating fat makes your muscles more efficient at extracting oxygen from your bloodstream. More oxygen facilitates better conversion of fat to energy, and your muscles turn into fat-burning turbines. So if you go lower carb, increase your intake of good fats, like those in nuts, fish and avocados, you’ll get leaner faster. Incidentally, that finding may be why researchers in another study found that taking conjugated linoleic acid—a good fat—prior to workouts burns more fat and builds more muscle. Try about five grams.” - Becky Holman
Opt for NATURAL nut butters. The ingredients should just read “peanuts” or “almonds” and there should be oil sitting on the top.

It’s kind of cool the little things you notice after lifting for a while…
- My arms don’t look so skinny in t-shirts anymore.
- I can eat giant breakfasts that would normally keep me full till mid afternoon and be hungry two hours later.
- My quads and hamstrings actually stand out in my jeans, not just yoga pants.
- My forearms are bigger.
- My heart beats slower and healthier.
- When shaving, my legs feel much more muscular, especially my calves.
- When I’m looking for something up high, I can stand on my tiptoes much longer.:)
ahahaha -> story of my life. I feel constantly hungry! Every two hours my body signals that it’s time to eat. It’s awesome! :) I love it! My boyfriend gives me funny looks all the time cuz it seems like I am eating all the time. haha. (he is not really into all that and can’t see why I would be hungry two hours after eating 4 egg whites a load of oatmeal).

:) definitely. I am at about 1800-2200 calories a day! And I feel better than ever maintaining my weight and hopefully getting more muscles! :)
